Reading Bags:

Your child will bring home a Letter sound & Book Bag each night. In your child’s reading bag you will find a daily reading folder with a letter sound to review, book to read each night, and a sight word ring to go over with your child each night as well. The bag and ALL of its contents must be returned each day so that we can go over the book again and get a new book in your child’s small reading group. Learning to read is such a valued gift that we can give our young children because they will use it for the rest of their lives, with your help and cooperation our Pre-k Class will love to learn to read.

HOW TO DO THE READING BAG

1. Go over the letter of the week

2. Let your child read their book to you

3. Read the book together

4. Use the Sight Word ring like flash cards

5. Practice writing
